 CAUGHT    IN    THE    MACE        - episode 1

                All the students that  failed to submit their assignments were called out .They all stood in their immaculate white on check red pinafores and trousers waiting for the basic science teacher's verdict , 'on your knees all of you !' Mr Bayo shouted. He was really angry, the levity with which he treated the assignments of these students earned him a yellow last week he isn't going to take any chances this week. 

                He quickly reached for a cane behind miss Bella's desk and the whole class gasped they knew Mr Bayo's talent in flogging so the culprits were thrown to wailing and vociferous pleas for pardon all to no avail .He had finished with the last boy and called  joke to the 'dock' for his 'verdict' .Meanwhile as all this was going on SHE carried her back pack on her thighs her hands were in it as SHE laced her fingers on her weapon of destruction and smiled this is a golden opportunity  for revenge .SHE had been silent throughout the period of 'verdict-giving' ,she watched as her bait took wobbly and fearful steps to the 'dock' HER lips firmed up and she shouted  'STOP! or i'll shoot' !. The whole class turned  simultaneously with her unusual  shrill. SHE continued ''drop your cane Mr Bayo or i'll shoot ...but if you choose otherwise i'll shoot myself '' SHE proclaimed turned the gun to her skull. The teacher was marveled at her confidence but was unsure if this was a trick by the class to escape punishment ,he held on to his cane while thinking , absolutely relaxed .SHE was losing her patience with his delay ,so she pulled the trigger. The teacher stood abruptly at the sound while her classmates screamed in fear. SHE was still not moved  but held firmly and threatened to pull the cork .The seriousness in her voice stirred the teacher to action ,he walked towards her '' look calm...'', the principal ran in with a classmate  . she was shocked at the sight and spoke with a shaky voice ''please drop it he will do whatever you say please'' ''okay principal  tell him to drop the cane'' she signaled and the  teacher reluctantly dropped it   ''the girls should go to their seats'' SHE continued. ''we have done our part ,so can you drop the gun now'' ''we're good but ..'' she stammered and put it in her bag like a lamb , locked the zipper with padlock and smiled satisfied.

               ''come my dear lets talk over a cup of ice-cream''the principal offered SHE raised her head assertively and replied ''we can talk but without ice-cream ,i eat only Greek yogourht ''  ''fine by me '' the fat woman answered SHE picked her bag and joined her at the door, before living the woman enjoined the man to continue the day's lesson ''but without cane'' SHE added and whisked the cane from the floor and followed the principal .

           IN MRS OBGUAGU 's OFFICE .

           SHE stared from her mother to the fat principal and wondered what made them this thick. SHE didn't hear any of their discussion as she recalled the last night's peg+cat program. she last saw cat singing until the door creaked and a masculine figure appeared .Lighting struck ,lights sparked and suddenly she was out. The figure ran to save her falling head.......
