What is oxymoron?
Oxymoron is a phrase which is a combination of two contrasting words. It is used to convey the emotions of the speaker or writer (as the case May be) in question.

Difference between oxymoron and paradox
   Many people find it difficult to get the difference between oxymoron and paradox. Well, it's simple. Oxymoron is a phrase word that is , it is a combination of two opposite words for example - 
• Parting is such sweet sorrow - sweet sorrow in this context is used by the writer to show that although the reason for parting is good it still generates some kind of sadness in him.
   Paradox on the other hand is a combination of two contradictory clauses in on sentence I order to pass a message. Paradox sometimes make no meaning on the surface but an intensive look at it will present the meaning. It classified as a witty saying. For example:
For a slave, death is life and life is death.
(This simply means that the life of a slave is miserable that he prefers death to life)

Examples of oxymoron
he said that her nose-picking habit gave her an imperfect perfection.
(The man in the example above understands that every person is imperfect but the he sees the lady's own as a crown, making it perfect).
it was a bitter Sweet experience.
we ate a jumbo shrimp (shrimps are never big)
the party was just an annoying fun.
he called the lottery gift a small fortune..
